Who I am:

People often ask why I do what I do. The short answer is that I love love and I love my job ~ and it shows! I am genuine, sincere, warm and authentic. And after five years of crafting ceremonies, I still get excited about every wedding I celebrate.

The longer answer includes the fact that I often despair at the state of the world, and this makes it even more important to me to mark moments of joy and hope and togetherness.

I am queer and polyamorous, and I love celebrating within our own beautiful community. I also don’t take for granted our hard-won rights. Being queer means I’ve always given extra thought to how we can approach life’s milestones ~ intentionally, mindfully, thoughtfully ~ an approach that everyone can benefit

from.

I come from a family that loves tradition, ritual, and celebration. Whether I'm dancing, being with my four children, or planning a lifecycle ceremony, my guiding principle is always

relationship and connection.

Where I've learned:

So much of what I bring to my work has come through living a life, constantly learning about myself and others.  I bring to all my work an innate sense of empathy, compassion, and humour.

More formally, I am non-denominational Metaphysical Minister, ordained through the Bancroft Centre for Awakening Spiritual Growth.

I completed the Contemplative End of Life Care certification through the Institute for Traditional Medicine in Toronto.

I hold a Masters of Education from University of Toronto/Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, and I was a psychotherapist in private practice for 15 years.

I am blessed to have the love of partners, children and friends in my life.

Each opens a new door

in my heart.

I also fill my life with a love of

dance and movement in partnership with several amazing organizations and projects.
